Why I like the NIXY Venice G3

I. Inflates to 20 psi

Although it is not the only factor, paddle boards that inflate to 20 psi tend to perform better, be higher quality and more durable.

Using high quality pvc and a high density dropstitching with fusion laminate construction allows the board to be inflatable to 20 psi. Only the strongest high end inflatable paddle boards can be inflatable above the standard 15 psi.

The extra air pressure results in a stiffer more rigid paddle board. The more rigid an inflatable paddle board is the more stable it will feel and the better it will perform.

High Quality

Nixy Sports is an inflatable paddle board brand located in Southern California. They have joined the ranks of higher end iSUP brands that are now using the fusion laminate technology.

This fusion technology is among the better construction methods used for inflatable paddle boards. It involves “fusing” a layer of liquid pvc directly to the dropstitch core. This process is done with machines specifically designed for the process. It creates a lighter, stronger, stiffer, better performing and better looking paddle board.

Plenty of Float

It is always important to have more than enough float for your weight. The Nixy Venice has a good 300lb weight limit. This is plenty of float for the heaviest person to practice yoga or exercise on board. Plus when cruising around you can carry a child, dog or plenty of gear. Nixy paddle boards are very durable and a dogs paws are not a problem.

II. Very Stable

My pet peeve with paddle boards designed for stability (yoga and fishing boards) is that they are often too wide to glide well. Width adds stability but there is always a compromise between speed and stability.

The Nixy Venice still paddles easy enough to be fun. While it is not very fast it’s fun for cruising around at a relaxing pace. Ideal for beginners.

The Nixy Venice has a wide profile of 34″ and the shape of the board is wide from the nose to the tail for maximum stability. 34″ is wider than most all-around paddle boards but it is not outlandish.

The Nixy Venice is stable as expected. It is stable enough for a beginning paddler to learn on. The fusion dropstitch core increases hull stiffness which give the board an even more stable feel. The tri-fin configuration improves stability and maneuverability.

III. Lightweight

The fusion laminate dropstitching process creates a lighter paddle board. Easier to handle and move around at only 23lbs.

Despite the Nixy Venice being very stable it is not bulky like some yoga paddle boards. With a modest length and width plus light weight you can handle and transport the Venice with ease.

IV. Reasonable Price

The Nixy Venice is a good value. The quality, performance and durability is at the top of its price range. Any paddle board that costs much less than the Nixy will have durability and performance issues. You can find cheaper paddle boards but they will leave you disappointed over time.

V. Nice Accessories & Package

Nixy Venice G3 Inflatable SUP Board Is Perfect For Yoga

Practicing yoga or pilates on a paddle board is a perfect combination that I knew would eventually become popular. Balancing on an unstable object like an exercise ball is common practice in home and commercial gyms everywhere.

With a stand up paddle board you can extend the range of possible exercises. Plus you are outside on the water enjoying fresh air, sunshine and a more scenic view.Add block

VII. Consider a Paddleboard Anchor for Yoga or Fishing

While you don’t need a anchor to practice yoga on a paddle board it is a good idea. If you don’t use an anchor your board will drift so you need to keep an eye on your surroundings and other watercraft. When you drift far enough you will have to interrupt your yoga practice and paddle back to your starting location.

A simple solution is to buy a small anchor and attach it to your board. You will need a nylon rope approximately 15′ long for your anchor. You can tie the rope to the D-ring on the tail of your board.

The anchor should weight anywhere from 3-10lbs depending on the wind and current at your location. There are a lot of SUP anchors that weigh 3lbs. These are only good if you have minimal current moving your board. In general I feel its best to go with a 10lb anchor. Then you don’t have to worry about your board drifting around.

I would go with a folding grapnel anchor. Grapnel anchors have four prongs that will dig into the sand keeping your board in place.
